Man, I am going to miss summer

First vacation since Pre-schooler-ista (formerly known as Toddlerina) was less than one year old.

I am so happy it is slightly absurd.

Yes, Rocco makes me insane as he is The World's Worst Disciplinarian, but a little sun and sand makes it all fade away.  Counseling is going ok, but we are on her maternity break.  Pretty sure this is why Rocco took us to the beach.  Self preservation.

Oh, and a little medication doesn't hurt either.  So much for my "situational" depression when my first daughter was stillborn years ago.  Guess it is a long situation?  New crazy med doctor appt tonight.  Eager to get her analysis.

Maybe I am just perma crazy.  I am ok with this.  It was some big shit that went down.

Would you believe me if I told you sometimes I am afraid I am going to forget to tell Jaybird about the DE?

  1. Gorgeous shark there. A little sand and sun does wonders and these nice long days are getting shorter too soon. Crazy is not as bad as it sounds. I prefer this quality in friends. Sane people are so boring. Give me people with baggage any day! (I also say that you can't be that crazy if you think you are crazy, REAL crazy people seriously have no clue that they are crazy.)

  2. Adorable!

I believe you. At my Level 2 ultrasound when the doctor thought she may have seen something that can be a marker for cystic fibrosis, I told her my husband and I had both been screened for CF. Which is true, but it's far more relevant that my husband and the donor were screened, lol. I didn't realize it for more than an hour.

Glad to hear you're so happy. :)

  3. That picture is officially the cutest thing I have ever seen. Seriously, you are in danger of shutting down The Internetz with all the cuteness. Sun and sand sounds like just the thing.

  5. Can I just nibble on his cheeks? Jay-bird is intensely cute. Glad you all got away at the beach. I'm sure it did good all around.
I'm of the same mind as Misfit on the issue of crazies. To go through that amount of crap and survive makes you a much stronger, more interesting person, the kind I want to hang out with anyway. I think of myself as crazy sometimes too, and given that I lived in a psychiatric institution for 6 months, I've got data to back that up. Yet crazy and sane are moving lines in the sand. What do they really mean?

  6. What a cutie pie! There's just something about the beach and sun that makes it impossible to be sad. I'm gonna miss this summer too ( well at least this part)
