The yin and the yang

Yin

Who is going to get all this work, shopping and cooking done cause it isn't me.  Bleh.  I have an astronomical amount of work to do right now.

Can I get an amen from my sisters?

I feel a little under it all.  I don't have much to say.  It certainly isn't interesting.  Do you really want to see a list of all the crap I haven't even started yet?  Nay.

Yang

All that complaining you just read?  That isn't me.  I went to see Dr. Crazy Meds yesterday and switched to a new prescription.  Stay tuned for a much more enjoyable Roccie.

I am not in a place where I can really write, but I can show you just the girl who can.  Please step over to my friend Rosie's house.  She sent me the spirit of Christmas in a box.

The essence of friendship in a manila envelope.

Hope hanging on a tree.

Rosie you are one in a million and I love you.

Thank you for everything.

If you want to know what I look like, you can see me in the red ornament.

I feel like a Led Zeppelin album cover.

Hell, yeah.

  1. Amen, sister! Love the ornament pic of psychadelic you!

Roccie, if you e-mail me (verymadhatter@live.com), I'll forward you the link to the podcast of that bloodboiling radio show...I haven't heard the actual show - all I described in my post was the teaser! This guy (Host #1) has a weekend show in Chicago, btw, on WGN, but I'm ashamed to say he's Canadian. I'm listening to the podcast right now - GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! You have to download it and then start listening at the 32nd minute.
    Love to you,
    Maddy

  2. I read Rosie's beautiful letter to you tonight. Your candor and humor and awesomeness make people adore you, Rocc. What a good apple Rosie is, and I adore the ornament. Again, awesome.

Bugger that you've so much annoying crap to tackle. Nose-crinkle.

  3. Oh Roccie. Sweetheart. I'm sorry the Yin is so big. Hoping dearly that a quick change in medication does help lighten your load.

That xmas decoration is freaking awesome. The kindness of strangers is sometimes the best kind.

  4. The title of your future memoir: "I Feel Like a Led Zeppelin Album Cover."

That Christmas ornament warms the cockles of my cold shriveled heart.

Whenever you feel up to writing--we'll be here.

  7. You've been on my mind so much lately, its good to see you back. It's such a stressful time of year and add in some grief it's a wonder that any of us are functioning! Hoping the new medications are a better fit for you and hopeful we'll see you more around these parts...have missed you a lot! Rosie sounds like an incredibly lovely person, love the ornament.

  8. Amen sistah. Go order a damned dinner from Whole Foods and don't let this damned holiday stress you out. I've done that the last 3 years and I have no reason to do it myself this year.

What an amazingly special and meaningful ornament...I had a hard time not crying reading her story. I pray that it brings you the same happy ending. :-)

  9. I am so with you, sister. One of the items on my to-do list is to find my to-do list.

That ornament story restores my faith in humanity. A friend of mine gave me something really special and symbolic when I was in the quest for H -- this makes me think I need to pass that on too, keep the good juju going.

  14. You've got my Amen, sister. Wishing you smooth efficiency as you get all that stuff done before Santa comes down the chimney.
What a wonderful gift you received from Rosie. I was so touched to read the letter she wrote you. It sounds like it really moved you, and I'm glad for that.
I keep you in my thoughts and send you hugs.

  16. I always think your complaining is totally justified and normal (um, not that you complain a lot, but on those rare occasions when you do...), but that's 'cause I'm a bitchy whiner. It must be so very rough and disconcerting to find yourself acting out of character. Screw the things that need to get done. If there's food and shelter, y'all are good.

  17. Great ornament. I always pictured you with angel wings:)

I hope your doc gets the meds sorted out pronto - I understand that it can be very rocky transitioning, and at the start. Time for some smooth sailing, right into a light-filled 2011.

Good luck with the chores. Amen, sister. Amen.

  19. You are the houses of the holy. Or the ornament of the holy. Or the holy ornament of houses...I digress.

Amen. That is indeed hope hanging on a tree. What an amazing present of hope. I want very much for that hope to arrive on those angel wings. It will happen. I will believe nothing less on your behalf.

  20. i just realized that you weren't in my blogroll and it pissed me off so much that i got out of my virus induced haze and logged on to remedy the situation. so now all is right with the world.
    im a tad bit anal.
i could simply not have lived through the past year without copious amounts of ADs. they have saved me and i don't buy into the whole placebo effect that some talk about. i hope that you find yourself in a gentler space as the days go by. i love your ornament :)
    xoxo
