DE babies love Woody Allen

I am recently released from house arrest.

My sister in law stayed with us for 2 weeks.  In a row.  She is great and all, but did you know that 2 weeks is 14 days?  In a row?  I have much to catch up on.

Rocco and I made it out to see a movie this weekend.  About 10 minutes into it, the Indian food we had eaten kicked in - that baby was mooooving!  It literally took all my might not to stand up and shout:

"Do not be alarmed!  The baby is alive!  The baby is ALIVE!!  This just might work out!!"

Boy, wouldn't that freak some people out.

....... did I just sit here and contemplate deleting everything I just typed for fear of tempting Fate?  Yeah, maybe.  Old habits die hard.

I wish we all lived closer and could meet for a milkshake.  I am a grinning fool.  Scared, sure, but man, am I happy.

ps - Whoever found my blog with the search phrase "scared to poop after an embryo transfer": can you please self identify so I can be your new best friend?

  2. Sharing a milkshake with you telepathically... er something like that. One glass, two straws. How romantic ;) And smiling over your baby wiggles. I too sometimes wonder how people would react if I blurted out the randomness in my head. Also, I'm laughing so hard over the blog search. That one's a gem.

  5. That is a hilarious google search phrase. Makes me think you should actually write a post like that since people are clearly interested in the topic. : )

  13. I have happy dreams where I meet Roccie for a milkshake:) I am very, very happy to hear about baby jitterbugging. This is beyond wonderful.

And those old habits (the fuckers) - impossible to lose entirely. They're like an unwelcome boarder. But with every movement, every day, every milestone that you pass, I hope its voice recedes more and more to background. Until it's nothing but white noise.

And 14 days is a veeeeeeeeery long time.

  14. Hi Roccie.. Thanks for you thought. I didn't take it as nagging - just caring. So please don't worry. Hoping transfer is going to be today (Saturday) - progesterone levels not quite as high as they want yesterday.

I will be thinking of you and your 'friend' with pooping and the embryo going in...

    LAUGH.

  15. I've worried that something I said may have caused my infertility.

But seriously, knowing how the babe gets active after Indian food, are you eating it for every meal. That's probably what I'd be doing ;0)

  16. I am dying. Dying. I did that search obsessively. Wish I were kidding. Who isn't scared to poop after an embryo transfer, that's what I want to know.

Anyway I am jumping up and down for you. Well, not really. I am 35 today so I better be careful not to do anything strenuous. But internally jumping up and down. I can feel that you are letting go of the fear, really letting go, and I am so happy for you.

  18. You should've shouted with all your might :o). You know, we transferred two embryos and to this day, I haven't quite admitted out loud to anyone that I've been convinced that the second one didn't make it bc I was severely constipated and strained like crazy in the bathroom 3-4days in a row post transfer. I kid you not. Not about the straining, but that I think th second embryo "fell out" as a result of said straining.

  19. Woah. There's no one in the world I would want staying with me for two weeks. Or one week. Or really even more than a few days. And heck yeah, it just might work out! (I, of course, am comfortably sure it will, but don't worry--other people being confident doesn't jinx you.)

  20. I HATE DEER! Mr. Bunny has been denying that they are what's been eating my flowers for years, until last week we looked out the window, and there was a spotted fawn, strolling past the croquet hoops. I confess that even though I hate deer, a baby deer kinda got me. It's the spots. I didn't even mind when it munched my bush (not that kind, DIRTY MIND) for a while.

  21. I'll share a milkshake with you anytime, lovely. Just name your time and place. I wish I could have seen that glowing look on your face when the wee one started to wiggle post-Indian food. Life is good, dear Roccie. Enjoy.
